Step-by-step visualisation of the VFR/IFR routing engine — draws corridor shapes, airspace avoidance decisions, and waypoint selection on a live map.
Open Corridor Debugger ↗Downloads VOR/VORTAC/VORDME/NDB navaids and IFR named fixes (intersections) from FAA NASR data via AWC API, updated every 28 days. Both are used as route waypoints — VORs, airports, and named fixes are all valid GPS inputs.
Downloads the FAA Coded Instrument Flight Procedures (CIFP) file and builds a local
airway database used to annotate IFR routes with Victor/Jet airway identifiers
(e.g. KSMQ SBJ V6 FJC J146 MIP KORD).
Updated every 28 days (AIRAC cycle). ~20 MB download, 30–60 s parse.
Special Use Airspace (Restricted, MOA, Warning, Alert) schedule data from FAA ArcGIS. Used to evaluate whether SUA areas are active during your planned flight window.
Fetches runway details, surface types, and public/private status from aviationweather.gov for all ICAO-registered airports.
Updates data/airport-details.json (~2,500 airports).
View and AI-enrich the transferability weights used to compute effective hours in type
from your logbook. Weights are stored in data/transfer_matrix.json.
New aircraft types are enriched on demand — each pair is called once and cached permanently.
Review AI-generated performance specs before use in scoring. Each type below was populated by Claude and requires a human check against the POH before being trusted in risk calculations.
